Pupil Premium Grant

The pupil premium was introduced in April 2011.  This is additional funding for children from low-income families who have been eligible for free school meals in the past 6 years ("Ever 6"), Looked After Children and those from families in the Armed Forces. The pupil premium is intended to support pupis to accelerate progress, raise attainment and increase participation in activities in the wider curriculum.

At Beedon we use this funding in numerous ways to enhance these children's life chances. This can include paying for them to attend school trips, such as a visit to The National Gallery, specific ELSA pastoral care, individual intervention programmes, after school clubs and music lessons.

We are pleased to report that children in receipt of this funding are reaching average or above average attainment - owing to our small cohorts we will not report actual data to protect the identities of individual pupils. Parents are welcome to speak to our Headteacher to seek further information.
