Director of Primaries' Welcome

A warm welcome is waiting for you and your child at Beedon CE Primary School.  We are very proud of our small Church of England primary school which is set in a beautiful rural location, in the heart of Beedon village, just 10 minutes from Newbury and easily accessible from the A34.

Relationships are a key strength at Beedon; we value our place in our local community and maintain an open door policy to work in partnership with our families.  Every child is treated as an individual; being small means we know every child very well allowing us to offer a personalised curriculum which encourages children to flourish.  Ofsted (November 2016) recognised that we are a good school where “pupils make good progress across the school” and where “pupils’ learning and pastoral needs are understood well and relationships between staff and pupils are strong.”   Our school motto "a love of life and learning" is at the the heart of everything we do at Beedon: children achieve well academically and socially and enjoy a wide range of curriculum enrichment opportunities.

In September 2016, Beedon CE Primary School federated with Compton CE Primary School and The Downs School; an exciting opportunity which has allowed us to work together to strengthen outcomes and provide new opportunities for pupils in all three schools.

We would be delighted to show you round.  Please contact the school office to make an appointment.  I look forward to meeting you.

Alison McDonald, Director of Primaries
